The Mission
Why send chile to space?
Because New Mexico is home to both Hatch — the green chile capital of the world — and Spaceport America, the world's first purpose-built commercial spaceport. Nobody has put those two things together yet. We're changing that.
Space Roast is a community-funded mission to launch authentic Hatch green chile to the upper atmosphere, document every moment, and bring it safely back home. It's a celebration of New Mexico's identity — both the agricultural heritage of the Mesilla Valley and the aerospace future being built in our own backyard.
